Synonymous to our heritage fruit preserves is the trademark of Escaba Sweets. Over 40 years ago, it has started not just an industry but also a heritage Filipino tropical sweet preserves line of products. It is a champion mover of changing lives in the country side that the Philippines can beam with radiance unparalleled in its journeyed path to a shared Success to humanity and our beloved environment.
Equipped with the inspiration to create and preserve the native fruits of San Pablo in 1974, the ingenuity of a bus driver and a dedicated teacher started their entrepreneurial steps for our heritage Filipino tropical fruit preserves with only a stove, a cauldron and 1,000 pesos capitalization. In the early stage of this innovation on preserving fruits, the heart to provide livelihood to 2 workers were installed as the desire of the Escabaʼs to reap business success was not just personal in nature to advance their lives but an inclusive consciousness to alleviate the lives of their neighbors to which the struggles were evident in the harsh environment of the country side.
Over 40 years later, these bottles are stories of sweet festival moments shared by the founding couple Rodolfo & Perla Escaba to their neighbors.This shared sweet festival continuous to radiate with the relationship of the suppliers of the company to which most are farmers from CALABARZON strengthened by a relationship for the last 30 years and beyond. Even the farmers lives are changed from interventions of Escaba Sweets in educating them with Good Agricultural Practices and most importantly giving them an assured market for their produce. The utilization of environmental protection and preservation is valued to its finest with the company’s Environmental Management System (EMS) in place. In October 2016, the company was accredited by TÜV Nord Phil. as HACCP Certified for Acidify Sweet Preserves and Low Acid Sweet Preserves. Two company personnel also attended & successfully passed the Better Process Control School as required by the US FDA. Escaba Sweets has not just coined the Sweet Festival as its brand for the export market; it nurtures the celebration of the entire value chain in making sure that the joy and aspirations of everyone around Escaba Sweets are at the outmost priority beyond expectation. Truly, practicing the farm to fork excellence in its entirety serving the best certified industry tropical fruit preserves in the Philippines and the world.
We can say that Escaba Sweets is already an institution. It is an institution with great heart not just for its people and everyone involved in it, but a real game-changer beyond the realms of the generation of its founding couple, the Escabas.
